A Community to Develop Your Skills
When you subscribe to Path to Piping, you will be granted full access to our online community where you will find all of the pre-recorded material and sheet music available. On the left hand side of the screen are the tabs which break down the course into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced sections to help you on your Path to Piping.
We recommend looking through them all before getting started. The detailed descriptions and video lessons are complimented by our extensive PDF tune library and musical theory lessons, allowing you to develop your musical skills and gain an understanding to last you a lifetime. Upon joining the our community, you are entitled to a free 15 minute introductory call with Kyle to kickstart your Path to Piping and be guided on the next steps you should take.
The Course Material
Our course material is designed to give a comprehensive and detailed analysis of all of the steps required to first become competent on the practise chanter and then transition smoothly onto the highland pipes. Detailed descriptions as well as video play throughs of the material covered will allow you to find a pace that suits you best and have the continuous support on hand from a professional bagpiper when you need it.
No matter your level, either complete beginner, intermediate player, or seasoned competitor, there will always be more for you to learn. Our extensive PDF tune library is being continuously added to from user requests, and our bagpipe maintenance section will allow you to gain a strong understanding of how to keep up with the difficult requirements of playing the bagpipes!

No matter how far down the line of your Path to Piping you are, there is still plenty on offer for all. From writing and reading sheet music to bagpipe maintenance, the Path to Piping course is the perfect place to continue learning and developing your understanding of the bagpipes. Bagpipe maintenance is one of the most important areas which is often overlooked when learning the bagpipes, but the course will give you all the tips and tricks from inside the Scottish piping world to ensure sure your pipes are always sounding at their highest possible level.
Collaborate With the Community
The online course allows Path to Piping members to feel part of a community. Whether it is in the ‘General Chat’ or ‘Bagpipe History’ tabs, the online course is filled with others just like you who are just as interested in the historic instrument. We aim to create a safe space where people can encourage and support the learning of others. We encourage chat and discussion about all things piping and would love to hear your thoughts in our community!
All problems and questions you have with any of the course material can be asked in the ‘Ask Kyle’ section of the course, and Kyle will be on hand to smoothen out your troubles with further explanatory videos and descriptive text. Join Kyle for weekly livestreams to talk through various areas of the course and have a few tunes. You can have your say for which tunes you would like to be written out and analysed in the ‘Request a tune’, as we believe music is all about playing the things you want to the most.
